Welcome back to open country ministry! Coming from a closed country makes being here in Thailand that much more special! Here is a little run down of what ministry looks like for the six weeks that we are in Thailand.

Mondays are our adventure/ask the Lord day. We don’t  really know what Mondays look like until they are here. Last Monday we planned to evangelize on the the College campus in town, and my team did. However, about an hour before we were supposed to leave for the campus I was reading my Bible in Bella Goose, the ministry/coffee shop we are partnered with, when I began talking to a lady from the States. We ended up talking for about five hours about religion, life, and all kinds of other things. I did not make it to the campus with my team, but I sure did have a fruitful day in our coffee shop. Certainly a win in my eyes!

Tuesdays and Wednesdays we are with a Christian orphanage that is partnered with Bella Goose. For the first couple of hours we are there we are usually painting something on the kid’s playground while the kids are taking their naps. Then after the kids wake up we play with them for a while and then teach them. On Tuesday we teach them about history and on Wednesday we teach them English. This orphanage has about 15 children from ages 6 months to 10 years old.

Thursday we work directly with Bella Goose. Bella Goose is a coffee shop that is also a ministry that helps local people find freedom from the red light district here in town or people that are just having a really hard time in life. One part of this ministry is a six week program that helps the people who are needing assistance from Bella Goose transition into normal life. During that transition the people of Bella Goose help teach the people going through the program about the work place. They are taught about professionalism, financial responsibility, work place safety, etc. On Thursday our team spends the day writing a  curriculum that Bella Goose can use while teaching these classes.

Fridays are kind of up in the air week to week. The past couple of weeks we have been working at one of Bella Goose’s transition houses scrapping old paint and repainting the outside of the front of the house. We are hopeful that we can finish that project before we head out. We want to leave these ladies with a house they are excited to come home to.

Saturdays we spend the whole day at another Christian orphanage called Alpha Renew. We spend the day teaching them worship songs, teaching them a Bible lesson, playing games, and just hangout with them.

Sundays we leave for the Lord cause He is Cool and worthy of a day devoted to Him.
